Software Systems Engineer (MAST Team)

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other relevant technical documentation.
• Support system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition/resource management.
• Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates products related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.
• Develop and document procedures, work instructions and design practices criteria to standardize work product deliverables.
• Evaluate technical specifications and assess compliance with applicable performance requirements.
• Provide recommendations and inputs for test plans, procedures, and other critical engineering deliverables.

Required Education

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, or an Engineering Discipline. Four-year ABET accredited Engineering Degree preferred.

Required Experience

• 3-10 years experience

Preferred Experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes.
• Knowledge of Naval Test Procedures and military standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
